While on a recent family vacation through Michigan, I had a chance to stop at Elderly Instruments in Lansing where I lusted after this 1991 Rickenbacker 381V69. It had checkerboard body binding, triangle fretboard inlays, and two toaster pickups. It was an awesome guitar that I would have loved to add to my collection.
